Postcards & Little Footnotes is built as a private, quiet space for your journey memories. We respect your peace and your personal data.
1. Data We Collect
When you create an account, we store your email address, an encrypted password hash, and an optional traveler name. When you use the app, we store your created trips, recorded dates, written footnotes, and uploaded postcard photographs.
2. How Your Memories are Handled
Your postcards, photos, and notes belong entirely to you. They are used solely to present your personal timeline. We do not sell your data, use your photos for advertising, or track you across external websites.
3. Photo Storage & Encryption
Photographs are stored securely in dedicated private cloud object storage (Cloudflare R2). All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is protected using HTTPS encryption.
4. Deletion & Control
You can delete individual moments, photos, or entire trips at any time. When you choose to delete an item, it is permanently removed from the database and storage.
5. Device Storage & Cookies
We use standard local storage (localStorage / sessionStorage) exclusively to keep your session active on this device if requested. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or ad trackers.
